    Trains bound for Teine or Hoshimi do not go to Otaru. Please do not board these trains.

    Passengers traveling toward Yoichi, Kutchan, or Niseko must transfer at Otaru Station. IC cards such as Suica cannot be used beyond Otaru. Please purchase a ticket in advance at your departure station.

    A basic fare ticket and a reserved seat ticket are required for boarding.

    For paper tickets, both tickets may be issued as a single ticket in some cases.

  2. Online reservation is a convenient way to use reserved seats
    STEP 1 Reserve your seat
    Use “JR-EAST Train Reservation” to select your train, seat, and ticket type (E-ticket).
    After payment, there is no need to pick up a paper reserved seat ticket.
    STEP 2 Go through the ticket gate
    Reserved Seat E-tickets cannot be used at ticket gates.
    Please use an IC card such as Suica or a paper basic fare ticket to go through the gate.
    ★If you have Mobile Suica or Welcome Suica Mobile, you can pass through the ticket gate using your smartphone.
