Regarding Lost Items

- If you left an item on the train
If you left an item on the train, we cannot contact trains in operation to make an individual search, even if you can confirm the location by GPS or other means. In addition, items left on trains that have entered the railyard cannot be immediately retrieved. Please wait until the item is registered in our lost-property-management system. (Registration may take time.) - Picking up lost items
When picking up lost items, please bring official identification (such as your passport, or driver’s license or health insurance card issued by the Japanese organization) to the station where your item is being held. We will ask for your signature stating that you have received the item and return the item to you.
- You will bear the cost for traveling to the station where your item is being held.
- Items being held will not be sent to other stations by train or other means.
- The information you provide when searching for or picking up lost property will never be used in any other circumstances.
