How to Use JR Hokkaido
Rail Passes
One-way/Round-trip Tickets etc.
Multiple tickets such as basic fare ticket, limited express ticket and reserved seat ticket etc. may be needed at one time depending on which train you take.

1. Online (Train Reservation)
After making a purchase online, please receive your tickets at the place you designated.
2. Stations
Tickets can be purchased at stations directly.

Basic fare tickets, limited express tickets and reserved seat tickets etc. can be purchased by yourself. *Ticket vending machines installed differ depending on stations. *Credit cards can be used. At that time, you need to enter your PIN. Credit cards that PIN is not registered cannot be used. However, some credit cards may not be used even if the PIN is registered. In that case, please try another credit card or visit the JR Ticket Counter. |

Tickets cannot be purchased at Tomamu Station.
Passengers using Tomamu Station, please purchase and receive necessary tickets in advance before you start travelling. You can purchase tickets online by JR-EAST Train Reservation. (Ticket pick-up required)
All seats on the Ltd. Exp. “Ozora” and “Tokachi” are reserved. When you take one of these trains, please purchase a reserved seat limited express ticket in addition to a basic fare ticket. Passengers with a rail pass (※1), additional charges are not necessary for seat reservations.

- ※2 There is a ticket vending machine on the first floor of the Hoshino Resorts Tomamu the Tower. However, the machine does not accept cash, and the hotel staff is not able to take your inquiries about tickets and help you use the machine.
