This rail pass is recommended for first-time visitors to Hokkaido as well as repeat visitors.

- *1 Purchase an exchange order at major travel agents outside of Japan and JR-EAST Train Reservation
- *2 Purchase at the designated JR Hokkaido stations etc.
Eligibility for Use
All non-Japanese passport holders can use the rail passes. At the time of exchange and purchase, you will be asked to present your valid passport. (Residence card and a copy of passport etc. not acceptable)

5-day, 7-day or 10-day
*The rail pass can be used for 5, 7 or 10 consecutive days from the starting date you choose.

The rail pass allows the unlimited rides on all JR Hokkaido Lines (except Hokkaido Shinkansen) within validity period.
You can take reserved and non-reserved seats in ordinary cars on limited express trains, rapid trains and local trains on JR Hokkaido lines.
★All seats are reserved on all JR Hokkaido’s limited express trains. There are no non-reserved seats. Please make sure to receive a reserved seat ticket before boarding. You cannot assign seats on the train.
*If you wish to take the SL Fuyu-no-Shitsugen Train, please purchase a reserved seat ticket.
*The rail pass can be used for some JR Hokkaido buses. Please see here for details.
*The rail pass cannot be used for the Hokkaido Shinkansen, the South Hokkaido Railway, the streetcar and the subway.
