Terminating the operation of Furano Biei Norokko Train
The Furano Biei Norokko Train has been operated for 26 years since 1998. This train is very popular as it allows passengers to feel the natural breeze coming in from large windows. Supported by local community members, we have been able to continue to operate this long.
However, we have been using the locomotive for more than 45 years, and passenger cars for more than 40 years. They are very old, and the production of many parts used has discontinued.
Therefore, the operation of Furano Biei Norokko Train will terminate in FY2026.
